Artistry meets masonry in Mortar, a brewery brand.

Tuesday, March 09, 2021
Mortar is a brewery based in Boulder Colorado. Their brand, designed by Kevin Craft, is greatly inspired by Freemasonry along with a little bit of the oddities and mystique of the Illuminati. The logo is derived from a hammer used to forge steel, and an eye in the center to go along with the strange symbols of the Illuminati.

Typography, geometric patterns and icons are used in the can's label to go along with the etched style of vintage documents and etchings like the ones found on dollar bills.

The brewery produces 3 types of beer that come in different packaging using color with an over arching color scheme employed through out the brand.
